Long-time sharer Bela Gorman was elected to the Stearns Farm Board of Directors at its July 16 meeting. Bela and her husband have been members of Stearns Farm for ten years, and Bela has been wanting to get more involved at the farm now that her children are school age. There are a number of open spots on the Board, and we will be holding elections to fill them at our Annual Meeting in late September. If you are interested in joining the Board please contact Board President Peter Doherty at president@stearnsfarmcsa.org. The Board meets on the third Wednesday of the month at St. Andrews Church in Framingham.
The Board has been working on a number of exciting educational programs this summer. We are planning a program on bats, a forage walk with Russ Cohen (pictured), and a visit with a local mushroom expert. Look for details in upcoming issues of the newsletter.
