Adapted from Thrill of the Grill by Chris Schlesinger and John Willoughby

1 1/2 cups mayonnaise (heavy or commercial is best)

1/2 cup white vinegar

1/3 cup sugar

salt and pepper to taste

1 head green cabbage finely shredded

2 carrots finely shredded

1. In a small bowl blend Mayo, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper to taste and mix well. (can also be put in covered container and shaken)

2. In a large bowl combine the cabbage and carrots. Pour desired amount of dressing over mixture and blend. Serve. You can add the dressing a bit before serving but if it sits  too long it will become soggy.
