This week the children harvested tea herbs (lime balm and the last of the lavender), and did MASSIVE weeding of the potatoes we planted during the Spring potluck. During the last stretch of weeding, we were paid a special visit by Barnum, Louise Bendel’s pet (giant!) rabbit. The kids took turns walking Barnum around Stearns, and feeding him carrot tops to munch on. Rumor has it, another sharer owns a pet tortoise–the children and I are campaigning for a Tortoise vs. The Hare race at the Harvest Potluck 🙂
Also spotted in the Garden this week–another piglet has magically appeared! Can you find him next time you’re there?
