We wanted to extend a special thanks to our “Special Ops” team: Anthony (19, front right), Nick (15, back right) and Sam (17, left), who have, together given hundreds of hours of their time to Stearns Farm over the past year. All three are local homeschoolers who started volunteering at the farm last winter. They quickly became indispensable, and Susan dubbed them her “special ops” team because they are ready for any challenge. They work all over the farm, but this summer they were especially helpful in keeping the crops watered during the long dry spells we experienced. Part way through the summer Anthony became a paid crew member, and Nick and Sam continued to volunteer weekly. Nick and Sam are continuing to homeschool, and Anthony is looking for landscaping work. From the entire Stearns Farm community, Thank You!

Please Carry In, Carry Out
There is no trash or recycling pickup at the farm. This means that all non-compostable trash must be taken away by volunteers, who transport it in their personal cars to their own homes for disposal. The same is true for recyclables. Please help us out by carrying out everything you carry in.
