Craig Barlow, a second-year sharer at Stearns Farm, wants others to know how to make the best use of the bounty that is about to appear over the next few months. He will be available on Friday (6/13) from 3:30 until 6:00 pm to share ideas with others about ways to use their harvest other than making salad and steaming veggies.
Craig has lots of ideas for ways to incorporate the items into dishes as well as ideas for featuring one or more items from this week’s share into a dish. He’ll also provide advice on ways to use up all the items in a particular pickup over a week, a different approach to cooking than identifying recipes for a week, then purchasing the ingredients. So, if you’re uncertain how to use a specific vegetable or herb or need some ideas, please feel free to ask Craig. He wants others to be as excited about the quality and freshness of the organic produce that Stearns Farm offers.
