You have probably noticed her broad smile and infectiously upbeat attitude, even if you haven’t yet been introduced to the newest member of the farm’s crew, Celina Torres.

A recent graduate of Framingham High School, Celina is working at the farm this summer as part of a teen work program sponsored by Tempo in Framingham. Celina says that as soon as she stepped foot on the farm she felt at home because “people are so happy here.” The farm reminds her of Puerto Rico where she has spent many summers helping to tend her family’s large gardens.

Celina will attend Worcester State University in the fall, where she plans to study to be a pharmacist. In the meantime, she will be working 20-25 hours each week at Stearns Farm and spreading her sunshine wherever she goes.  Say hi next time you see her at the farm.
