It’s hard to believe summer is drawing to a close. Although the farm season runs well into October, we take a day in late September to celebrate the harvest and hold the Farm’s Annual Meeting. This year’s Fall Festival will take place on Saturday, September 27, beginning at noon. In addition to a potluck lunch, music and crafts, we will hold the farm’s annual business meeting. The meeting is very informal and typically consists of brief speeches from the Farmer and the President of the Board of Directors, followed by Board elections.

The Stearns Farm Board of Directors has openings and welcomes new Board members. All members of Stearns Farm are eligible to join the Board, and you can nominate yourself or someone else. The Board handles all the non-farming aspects of running Stearns Farm: budgeting, accounting, marketing, communications, fundraising, education programming, and community outreach.
