Fall is a great time to complete your field work requirement. Cooler temperatures mean that you can spend as many hours as you like in the field, and there’s plenty to do preparing the farm for winter. If bending and crouching are a challenge for you, come clean onions–this is a job you do sitting down. It’s a great way to get to know other sharers or crew members. (Garlic cleaning is pictured, but you get the idea.)

As part of our Fall Festival on September 27th, work hours will begin at 9 AM. Weather permitting we will be harvesting potatoes that morning. After the harvest join the potluck lunch, listen to great music performed by Randy Batson of local band Railrod House, and participate in the Stearns Farm Annual Meeting.
