On Friday afternoon (9/19) herbs will be the focus at Stearns Farm. Join Patricia Wilbur-Zucker to learn about making your own tea-herb mixtures or stop by and chat with Craig Barlow as he brings his wealth of knowledge about preserving the harvest, and especially our herbs, to the pickup tent.

Preserving Herbs and More with Craig Barlow

Sharer Craig Barlow will share his depth of knowledge and enthusiasm for preserving the harvest with a special focus on using and storing herbs from the culinary herb garden. Craig will be at the pickup tent from 4:00 pm until 6:30 – 6:45 or until every last question has been answered.  (He usually brings delicious samples or cooks them on site.)

Tea Herb Mixing with Patricia Wilber-Zucker

Are you wondering what to do with all of the tea herbs at Stearns?  Do you look at the herbs each pickup, but don’t take them as you are not sure what to do with them?  Or do you only use them one at a time? Come learn what they taste like separate and together and how to make your own custom blends.

Instructor Patricia Wilber-Zucker-has been a Stearns sharer for 10 years.  She is a medical herbalist and aromatherapist who owns her own company, Grandmother Tree Herbals, in Southborough.

The program runs from 4-6 pm. Registration is required. The program is free for Stearns Farm members and costs $5 for non-members. Register here.
