Winter shares are now available for sale to the public on a first-paid, first-served basis. If you haven’t purchased a share yet, act now to be sure you get a share before they sell out. The winter share is a good opportunity for your friends and neighbors to get a taste of belonging to a CSA. Feel free to spread the word. Click here to purchase a winter share.
What: The share will include root vegetables, winter squash, and fresh greens (spinach, kale/collards).
When: The winter share consists of two pickups (scheduled for 11/15 and 12/13; dates are somewhat weather dependent, but if dates are moved they will definitely be before Thanksgiving and Christmas). Pickup hours are 9am – 1 pm.
Winter share pickups take only a few minutes, since most of the produce is pre-boxed and you just have to move it into your own bags. There are usually some items that require weighing, but there is no PYO.
How much: $100 plus two work hours to be completed between October 1st and December 13th, 2014.
Buying a winter share is a great way to stay connected to the food you eat and the farm community for a little while longer, before winter really sets in.
In the event that the winter share is over-subscribed, we will match requests to available shares based on membership points according to our Membership Policy. All requests will be processed on September 28th – 29th, at which time you will receive confirmation of enrollment and your check will be deposited. Checks must be received by September 27th in order to be processed during the priority enrollment period.
