Kids from “Our House,” an after school and summer program at Pelham Apartments in Framingham, visited Stearns Farm CSA on Aug 7 to help tend the Children’s Garden. The kids weeded and spread some bark mulch, got a tour of the farm, made nature collages and picked some flowers to take home.

Volunteers from Transition Framingham and Grace Church, who work with the children to plant and maintain their backyard garden, arranged the field trip. Volunteer Mary Memmott says the kids would like to return to the farm with their Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops.
