Summer shares for 2016 are now available for both current and new Stearns Farm CSA members. Our summer share includes a wide variety of organically grown vegetables, berries, herbs, and flowers.
One full share feeds approximately two adults and one or two children. It includes twenty weekly pickups beginning in early to mid-June and ending in late October (the exact start date is determined in late May). Shares vary from 5 to 15 pounds per week, depending on the crops in season. You may also pick your own herbs, flowers, berries, and selected vegetables.
Pickup days are Tuesday 2 -7 PM and Friday 2-7 PM. You choose your pickup day when you register and come to the farm on that day for the duration of the season.
Enroll now for a 2016 summer share!
A 2016 summer share costs $700, plus a $5 membership fee. Sharers are also required to contribute a minimum of 12 hours of field labor over the course of the growing season.
Because regular shares are too large for some people, we offer the option of a smaller share that you pick up every other week. An alternate week share costs $380 plus a $5 membership fee and requires six hours of field labor. In addition, a limited number of work-for-shares are available. Working sharers commit to working four hours per week from mid-April through early November and receive a generous share of the harvest (a $100 registration fee and $5 annual membership fee are required to become a work-for-share).
Update 1-13/16: Share requests are now being processed on a first-paid, first-served basis. A minimum deposit is required to reserve a share, with the balance due on May 1, 2016. If you have enrolled and included a deposit or payment with your request, it has been processed. If you enrolled and did not get an email from stearnsfarmcsa1 it means that we have not yet received your deposit.
