As many sharers know, Stearns Farm is equipped with a composting toilet, which has been maintained for many years by Tom Yelton. Tom is retiring from this job, and we are seeking one or more sharers who are interested in taking over the maintenance of this essential part of the farm’s smooth operation.
The main responsibility is weekly maintenance of the toilet (manufactured by Sun-Mar), which takes approximately 15 minutes. Some tasks that take more time need to be completed several times per season. Those who take on this role can use it to fulfill their work hours, the job can be shared by 2 or more sharers. Tom is available to train his successor(s) and to advise as needed.
