Winter shares are now available for purchase in the Stearns Farm online store, through Oct. 31.

The winter share is distributed in two monthly pickups—one each in November and December. The share typically consists of root vegetables (onions, potatoes, beets, carrots, parsnips, celeriac), cabbage, and winter squash that are grown during the summer and stored in our root cellar, as well as fresh greens (spinach, kale, collards).

Pickups for the 2016 winter share are currently scheduled scheduled for Saturday, 11/19 and Saturday, 12/17, between 10 am-2 pm. These dates are somewhat weather dependent, but if we have to change them, they will definitely be before Thanksgiving and Christmas. If you are unable to pick up during these hours due to religious observance or other factors, please contact Mel at farmer@stearnsfarmcsa.org to make alternative pickup arrangements.

The winter share costs $110, and there is no work requirement.

Visit the Stearns Farm online store to purchase your share. If you are not currently a Stearns Farm CSA member, please add the $10 membership fee to your cart along with the winter share. For 2016, we are waiving the membership fee for the winter share.
