We’re looking for a fun, engaging, and responsible garden-oriented person with outdoor education and/or childcare experience to run children’s programs at Stearns Farm during Saturday sharer work hours this summer and fall.
What: Lead a small group of children ages 4-8 in safe, low-key, farm-based, farm-themed activities in our Children’s Garden and around the farm. You decide the programming.
When: Saturdays, 9:30 am to 12:15 pm (Children would be there between 10 and noon). First session: Saturdays April 15—July 1, 2017; second session Saturdays September 2—October 7, 2017. Preference given to candidates with availability for all dates.
Compensation: Starts at $15 per hour, but negotiable for the right candidate. Also, veggies from the farm. If you have farm experience and the interest, there is the possibility of combining field work with this position (though field work pay would be closer to $12/hour.)
CORI and SORI checks are mandatory, along with strong references from jobs previously held in this field.
