Venson Shih has joined the Stearns Farm crew as our new IT director and Webmaster.
New to Stearns Farm, Venson spent two decades as the IT Director for non-profit organizations including the American Heart Association and the Appalachian Mountain Club. A Sudbury resident, he is currently an independent technology consultant working with non-profits, small businesses and individuals.
He says that when he’s not at work, he spends as much time as possible outdoors, hiking, kayaking, biking–including a regular route past the farm–or working in his garden. “I love the outdoors, and am a strong advocate sustainability and for protecting nature and the environment,” he says. Over the past few years, he has built raised beds to grow organic vegetables. “I have enjoyed the harvest of fresh organic vegetables, so I am excited be joining the Stearns Farm team!”
