Update: Unfortunately, we need to cancel the foraging workshop scheduled for this Wednesday, July 24. The instructor has had a family emergency and is no longer available on this date.  We hope to reschedule for later in the summer. Watch the weekly newsletter for updates, or check out our Classes and Programs page.

We have a few open spots for our foraging walk this Wednesday, July 24, from 6-8 pm at the farm. Foraging expert Rachel Goclawski returns to Stearns Farm to show participants how to identify, collect, prepare and preserve wild plants.

Learn foraging safety, sustainable foraging, the nutritional and medicinal value of plants, and cooking and preservation tips. We emphasize sustainable foraging—collecting highly invasive and renewable plants. You will touch, smell, taste, and collect wild plants.

This event is co-sponsored by Sudbury Valley Trustees and is free to SVT and Stearns Farm members. Participants must register in advance at https://www.svtweb.org/calendar/foraging-stearns-farm-1. Stearns Farm members, choose “YES” for “I am an SVT Member” and include “Stearns Farm” in the comments to receive member rate.
