Update Aug. 21, 2019: Due to thunderstorms anticipated this evening, this event has been cancelled. If you would like to explore the trails around Stearns Farm yourself, these maps can guide you: Baiting Brook Welch Reservation (Stearns Farm is around the letter “D”); Henry’s Hill and Wayside Forest. Join Dan Stimson, assistant director of stewardship with Sudbury Valley Trustees, for an evening walk this Wednesday, August 21 from 6-7:30 pm around the conservation land that surrounds Stearns Farm.
The farm is part of SVT’s Baiting Brook-Welch Reservation, including land donated by Margaret Pearmain Welch that inspired land conservation in northwest Framingham. Starting at Stearns Farm, participants will tour the trails of the adjacent conservation land, including Callahan State Park, highlighting the connections along Baiting Brook and the Bay Circuit Trail. Learn about local wildlife, plant communities, and the other hiking opportunities in this corner of Framingham and beyond.
This event is free to Stearns Farm and SVT members. Space is limited and reservations are required. Register at https://www.svtweb.org/calendar/evening-nature-walk.
