If you are going on vacation or traveling for work this summer, you can switch your pickup day a limited number of times. To ensure we have enough produce for you, please observe the following policies:

  • You must email Ember Fleming, Farm Manager, at farmer@stearnsfarmcsa.org by Sunday evening of the week you wish to switch your pickup day. The farmers harvest Tuesday’s share starting on Monday morning. The advance notice ensures they can collect the correct quantity of vegetables needed for each distribution.
  • You cannot carry over your pickup to the following week. Tuesday sharers must pick up their share on Friday of the same week. Friday sharers must pick up on Tuesday of that same week.
  • Although we do our best to accommodate emergencies, if you are unable to give at least 24 hours notice that you would like to switch, we prefer that you ask someone else to pick up your share for you. If you are unable to send someone to collect your share, the farmers will attempt to work with you to find a reasonable solution. However, once your share has been harvested, we are unable to store it until the next pickup day.
  • Sharers may request no more than three switches per summer season. If you are going to be gone for an entire week or more, ask someone to pick up your share while you are away. Otherwise, we will give it to one of the local hunger relief organizations we donate our extra produce to during the harvest season.

Thank you again for helping us keep pickups running smoothly!
