The summer season may be ending, but you can still submit your recipes to our upcoming Stearns Farm cookbook. It’s not too late to join fellow sharers Cindy Hebbard, Simon Cierniak, Daphne Blacker, Ronda Yeomans, and others who have contributed their soups, salads, mains, appetizers and more.

We’ll be accepting submissions until the end of 2020. Tell us about your go-to ways to use your share each week, family favorites, and the ways you preserve the harvest. Perhaps you’ve been spending more time at home, cooking more and you’ve made new discoveries this season. We’d love to learn about them. Even “no-recipe” recipes are welcome!

Use this form to submit as many recipes as you like, for any type of dish, from any food tradition.

Below are some guidelines to what we’re be looking for:

  • All recipes must include at least one ingredient that comes from your summer or winter share (fruit from your fruit share counts, too). It does not have to be the main ingredient.
  • Recipes should serve 4-8 people. Estimates are OK.
  • The recipe must be original. However, because the basics of many recipes are the same, we can consider using recipes inspired by another source if your version is substantially different from what was published previously (make sure to note the source). Unfortunately, we will not be able to accept recipes published by someone else that you cook step by step as written.
  • The best recipes will be those that you have regularly cooked and enjoyed. Family favorites, go-to meals, weekend projects, holiday traditions, crowd-pleasers, condiments, and that dish you can’t go a week without—we want them all.

Please see our sample recipe for ideas about how to write yours. If you have questions, email cookbook editor Elana Varon at
