We’re pleased to welcome Jenn Alves as the Stearns Farm CSA’s new bookkeeper! We recently had a chance to chat about what brought Jenn to our organization.

Can you share a few fun facts about yourself?

I live in Westborough with my husband and our 9-year-old son. I also have a 27-year-old stepson, who is getting married in August. I am also the mother to four backyard laying hens – Elizabeth, Mary, Victoria and Princess Margaret.

What do you like to do for fun?

I enjoy skiing, visiting the islands of New England, exploring scenic bike paths, gardening, metal working and spending time with family and friends.

What brought you to Stearns?

When I saw Ember’s post looking for a bookkeeper, I was excited at the prospect of using my professional skills to support a local non-profit farm. The Stearn’s mission represents things that are important to me personally, especially the use of organic farming practices, providing a welcoming environment and supporting community food relief organizations.

We’re excited to welcome Jenn to the Stearns crew for many seasons to come!
