Looking to save money and keep things out of landfills? Do you have a cherished item that needs fixing or mending? Save it and bring it to the upcoming Repair Café for some TLC! Join us on Saturday, October 8th from 2PM – 5PM at Edwards Hall, United Church of Christ, 39 Edwards Street, Framingham.
Our volunteers can help fix many things for FREE including: clean, mendable clothing, lamps, small appliances, computers/other electronics, bicycles, toys, jewelry and sewing machines. The Café will also feature a sharpening station for knives, scissors and garden tools. There is no charge and donations are welcome. You just pay for any needed parts. If your item needs a part, save time and bring the new part with you.
The Repair Café is still looking for handy volunteers in the following areas:
- Electrical appliances
- Lamps
- Furniture
- Blade Sharpening
- Soldering
We are also looking for individuals to volunteer as hosts at the event. The role encompasses welcoming visitors, connecting them to repairers and providing snacks and beverages.
