If you made it to the opening of this year’s Framingham Farmers Market last Thursday, you helped break the event’s attendance record! With over 70 vendors from near and far, delicious ready-made offerings and brand new hours, the city’s farmers market is back in full force!

The Framingham Farmers Market is a great way to supplement the week’s delicious produce from Stearns. With everything from local honey and bread to cheese and spices and desserts, it’s also an easy way to connect with and sample from local food producers. While you’re out on the Common, grab a bite to eat or try a refreshing drink from one of the many popup stands and food trucks on site.

If your fridge is full, the Market is the perfect place to pick up handmade gifts like jewelry, clothing, kitchen accessories, soaps, candles, ceramics and beauty products. Spoil yourself or a loved one while supporting resident artisans and the local economy. In addition, attending the Farmers Market are several city and non-profit organizations promoting all the wonderful work happening this summer, such as the public library, the Agricultural Advisory Committee, Energize Framingham and the Parks and Rec department.

This year’s Framingham Farmers Market is happening every Thursday from 3PM – 7PM until the end of September. It is located at the Village Hall parking lot and Framingham Centre Common on Edgell Road (right off Route 9, across from Framingham State University). Parking is limited around the Common during the event so if you can walk, bike, mass transit or carpool, you’ll save yourself some time and stress. SNAP and Senior Citizen Farmers Market Coupons (starting in July) participants are invited to use their benefits at the Market.
