You’re invited to join fellow CSA members for an evening of lawn games, eating, and great conversation.
Who is invited: All members of Stearns Farm – family and friends of all ages are welcome (dogs are welcome but must be on a leash)
When: Saturday, August 26th from 5PM – 8PM
Where: Stearns Farm, by the pavilion
What to bring: Please bring a yummy dish to share
What to expect: Delicious food, lawn games, campfire, laughter, new friends
What next? No need to RSVP, just mark your calendars and show up!
This year, we’d like to invite our members to gather at the farm and meet each other, have some fun, and savor the harvest. As busy as we are in the fields, we know you all have busy lives as well! We hope you’ll take the time to hang out with your community members, swap recipes, and enjoy a relaxing evening.
July was a month of intense storms, sweaty brows, and tall weeds. It was sticky, muggy and buggy, but it’s also a great time for veggies as the peppers, eggplant, and tomatoes begin to finally ripen, the garlic has cured, and the onions are coming out of the fields. As we approach the most bountiful time of the year, we like to remind ourselves to be thankful for the harvest and for our amazingly supportive staff and CSA members. Your constant kindness and patience goes a long way when we are lost in the weeds (literally).
So come and hang out with your farmers and fellow members and enjoy the beauty of Stearns.
