4 Tablespoons butter or oil
1 bunch salad turnips, tops removed and saved for another use and roots chopped into bite sized chunks
1-2 Tablespoons honey (to taste)
3-4 Tablespoons fresh mint, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
Heat butter in skillet over medium heat. Add the turnips, cover the skillet and reduce heat to low.
Cook turnips until just tender, about 10 minutes or so. Check them by piercing with a fork. Remove turnips from skillet.
Then add the minced mint and honey to skillet and boil down the sweetened turnip juices until syrupy. Then pour over the turnips as a sauce, season with salt and pepper and serve.
