As the deadline swiftly approaches, the 2023 Winter Shares are now available for sale. You do not need to be a current member to enjoy the end-of-year bounty – Stearns sharers and members of the public are all welcome to purchase one. With proper planning and storage, you can enjoy fresh, local veggies well into the new year!
The Winter Share is distributed in two monthly pickups:
Saturday, November 18th and Saturday, December 16th from 10AM – 2PM
If you are unable to pick up during these hours due to religious observance or other factors, please contact Ember at farmer@stearnsfarmcsa.org to make alternative pickup arrangements.
While the contents are subject to change based on availability, those who purchase a Winter Share can expect to see seasonal items such as:
- Mushrooms
- Pea tendrils
- Onions
- Cabbage
- Fresh cranberries
- Popcorn
- Dried herbs
- Apples
- Winter squash
- A variety of root vegetables including potatoes, carrots, daikon radishes and turnips
Veggies are all packed into a bushel box for easy pick up!
The deadline to purchase this year’s share is Sunday, November 5th.
The cost this year is $140 + $10 membership fee (for those who are not current members).
