Spring is fast approaching, and that means it’s time to plan what to plant in our gardens this year. Stearns Farm is excited to once again offer a variety of seedlings for purchase during our annual seedling sale. Orders may be paid for ahead of time from our online store, or stop by our beautiful farm to select your seedlings in person.
Our online store will go live on the Stearns website at 8AM on Monday, April 21st, but in the meantime, you can view a list of available seedlings by visiting our online catalog. Order your plants by 8PM on Wednesday, May 7th and schedule the weekend you would like to pick up your purchase. Note that there is a $50 minimum for orders placed online.
You can also join us at the farm to select your seedlings in person on May 10th & 11th and May 17th & 18th from 9AM – 2PM. We will accept cash, check, Venmo and cards during the sale.
All seedlings are grown at the farm using organic potting soil from Vermont Compost and fertilized with Neptune’s Harvest Organic Fish and Seaweed Fertilizer. Our main seed sources are Johnny’s Selected Seeds, Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds, Fedco Seeds, and High Mowing Organic Seeds. Our goal is to provide you with healthy seedlings that will thrive in your home gardens or in pots on your porch for the entire season – and beyond!
