The heat this summer has felt excessive and extreme. We usually see a heat wave or two, but a daily high of 90℉ seems to be the new norm! The increase in temperature combined with the lack of rain can cause a few problems for our vegetable friends here at the farm, as well as in your gardens.

We're in the most abundant weeks of our summer share season. How are you enjoying your vegetables, herbs, and berries right  now? We'd like to include your recipes in our upcoming Stearns Farm Cookbook.

Recipes can include favorites that you look forward to making every year, or your newest discoveries. We welcome any type of dish from breakfast smoothies to that stir fry you improvised to convince your kids to eat bok choy and your go-to salsas, salads and pasta sauces. Eat Your Share

We look forward to discovering your own favorite recipes - so share them here to be included in our upcoming Stearns Farm cookbook.

With all the delicious tomatoes and garlic in our shares this week, Marcella Hazan's Tomato Sauce and Traditional Toum (Middle Eastern Garlic Sauce) are two easy ways to enjoy the fresh bounty. Each recipe requires five ingredients or less and keeps well for multiple meals.
