This week brings the first days of autumn and the following news from the farm:

• This week's "From the Field" welcomes a very good boy for a special interview.

• Enjoy some R&R at our Annual Campfire and End of Year Celebration.

• The yearly garlic planting is a great way to finish up the season's work hours.

• It's the start of stew and soup season and this week, we've got one of each to savor.

Classic Harvest take 11, Farmer’s Choice take 9: Delicata/kabocha choice, tomatoes, green tomatoes, hot peppers/tomatillos choice, peppers, potatoes/purple top turnips choice, loose lettuce/head lettuce choice, kale/chard/collards choice, red onions/yellow onions choice, parsley/cilantrol/hakurei choice, bok Choy/tokyo bekana choice, kale/chard/broccoli greens choice, eggplant.

PYO: 10 flower stems, 1/2 pint raspberries, herbs and edible flowers (check for gold stars).

Eat Your Share

We look forward to discovering your own favorite recipes - so share them here to be included in our upcoming Stearns Farm cookbook.

I can't wait to try this vegetarian twist on a French classic. The Squash au Vin is a great way to combine both the squashes we receive in our shares and can easily be adjusted to become a vegan or gluten-free dinner.

And this week's Bok Choy Chicken Soup is great as a base or appetizer. Only six ingredients and three steps later, you're enjoying a simple yet satisfying comfort food classic.
