Stearns Farm CSA

Happy Presidents' Day! Let's finish the leftover sweets from this Valentine's Day weekend while we wait for more snow and see what news this month brings:

• The farm may be resting but Ember is busy creating, crafting and cooking.

• Subsidized Shares are here - see below for all the information about this new program!

• The start of the season may be months away, but 2021 shares are selling out. Get one before they're all gone.

• With freezing temperatures and snow-filled forecasts, indulge in these delectable dishes.

See you in March and until then, stay healthy, safe and warm!

Slow Down and Savor

Slow Down and Savor

Like many of you, I’ve been spending a lot of time at home. Even during a “normal” year, I typically work at home and make the occasional day trip to visit family on the South Shore or up in Portsmouth, NH. Eat Your Share

It was a bittersweet feeling slicing into the last two onions from this year's Winter Share. As we eagerly await the start of a new harvest season, here are two recipes guaranteed to bring comforting goodness to your lunch or dinner plate.

The Sausage and Broccoli Carbonara skips the heavy cream and pancetta found in more traditional recipes but keeps all the flavor and adds some crunch with broccoli's wonderful texture.

The Chickpea Flour Frittata With Sweet Potatoes & Kale is vegan, grain-free and oh so satisfying on a cold winter's day. This one-skillet baked frittata is delightfully creamy and makes delicious leftovers for the following day.
