Stearns Farm CSA

A lot of fun in the sun was had at the 2021 Seedling Sale - a big thank you to everyone who volunteered, shopped and helped spread the word. Now let's see what's sprouting up this week:

• It's not just the veggies that need tending. Ember and the crew ready the Flower Garden for another season.

• If you missed the Seedling Sale, the Self-Serve Station is now open until June 1st.

• Are you a first-time Summer Sharer? Then you're invited to an upcoming orientation.

• It's time for Italian fare, each with a springtime twist and not a tomato in sight.

Wishing everyone a fun and safe Memorial Day holiday weekend! See you all in two weeks, when our newsletter starts arriving weekly in time for the CSA season. Ember will announce the first Summer Share pick up dates in the next issue!

Our own Penelope's Garden is home to lush stinging nettles and your garden or backyard may be too! Besides making a delicious and heart-healthy tea, these herbs serve as a delicious contrast in this Pizza with Garlic Cream and Nettles. Out of garlic? No worries, scallions work just as well.

Peas, fennel, leeks and asparagus all bring the color and lots of complementing flavors in the Spring Green Risotto, courtesy of this high-rated recipe from the Barefoot Contessa herself.

With over 500 entries, our recipe archive is a great way to explore new and classic dishes using our delicious produce.
