Join us this Saturday Sept. 19 to learn about harvesting and preserving herbs, and about better nutrition for kids, in two different workshops at the farm.

Harvesting and Preserving Herbs
for Winter Use
10-11 am

Learn how to harvest and preserve herbs. You’ll take home a selection of herbs you harvest, along with a wealth of new knowledge to get you started on your own herb gardening journey. Participants should bring scissors or garden clippers, small ziploc bags, and a sharpie. This workshop is limited to 25 people. Register here. A $5 donation is suggested.

Fueling Your Children for Success
2-3 pm

IMG_0676As the school year gets underway and life gets busy again, it can be hard to keep your children energized with healthy food. Stearns Farm sharer and Certified Health Coach Nicolette Blanco will help you think about your children’s nutrition in a holistic and integrated way. You’ll get information about how to choose nutritious meals and snacks to keep your children healthy and improve mood and concentration. There will be ample opportunity for Q & A during this talk.

This workshop is free an open to the public. Suggested donation: $5.
