There are some very delicious and healthful wild foods to find in the fall that are easy to identify and prepare for your table. Learn about them on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 2-4 pm at the farm (note the new date).

Rachel Goclawski, a certified educator and wild foods guide, will teach the workshop, where you’ll find out about foods like the Maitake mushroom, which inhibits the growth of cancer cells, and Autumn Berries, which are more than 15 times higher in cholesterol-lowering lycopene than tomatoes (and, because they are an invasive plant, are plentiful). Identify, taste and learn ways to prepare these wild foods.

This event is free and open to the public. Suggested donation: $5. Children are welcome.
